Song Be Wins Evironmental Friendliness Award
Song Be Golf Resort is a member of two world acclaimed environmental conservation societies, Audubon and IGOLF. We received our third consecutive Saigon Times Top 40 award on the 24th of April 2010. This prestigious award jointly presented by The Saigon Times and the Local Department of Planning and Investment, is only awarded to companies who have reached certain criteria in their efforts towards environmental conservation and sustainability, including outstanding business performance and contributions to the economy and society.
This year’s Saigon Times Top 40 award nominations were open nationwide. Despite the increased competition, we managed to clinch the award again with unwavering determination through our green policies.
We strive in making our resort a sanctuary for wildlife. Our maintenance team consciously avoids the more harmful aspects of certain golf maintenance practices. At Song Be, green initiatives such as composting, using recycled water through our own sewage treatment plant and using less electricity are implemented for the better of our environment. Efforts have also been made to educate our staff of the ways to minimize our carbon footprint.
Perhaps the distinguishing factor of Song Be is that we constantly cut our margin of profit to aid the community and environment. We have an understanding and a belief that keeping the earth green is not about those that live today, but those that walk tomorrow.
